Tipping
Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory in Cabo Verde. In restaurants, around 5–10% is common if a service charge is not included. Small tips are also given to hotel staff, drivers, and guides.

Cabo Verde uses plug types C and F (European standard). The standard voltage is 230 V with a frequency of 50 Hz.
Drinking water
Tap water is not generally recommended for drinking. Bottled or filtered water should be used for drinking and brushing teeth.
