Tipping

Tipping is appreciated in Angola but is not always expected. In restaurants, around 5–10% is common if a service charge is not included. Small tips are also appreciated by hotel staff, drivers, and guides.

Angola uses plug types C and F (European standard). The standard voltage is 220 V with a frequency of 50 Hz.

Drinking water

Tap water is not considered safe to drink. Bottled or filtered water should be used for drinking and brushing teeth.

Offices typically operate Monday to Friday, from around 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some businesses may also open on Saturdays.
