Ingredients
- 500 grams minced lamb or beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons gram flour (optional, for binding)
- Skewers (metal or soaked wooden)
- Oil for brushing
Instructions
-
Prepare the Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the minced meat with onion, garlic, ginger, green chilies, fresh coriander, and all the spices. Add lemon juice and gram flour if using. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is well combined and slightly sticky.
-
Shape the Kebabs
Divide the mixture into equal portions. Take each portion and mold it around a skewer, pressing gently to form a long, even shape. Ensure the mixture sticks well to the skewer to avoid falling off while cooking.
-
Cook the Kebabs
Preheat a grill, barbecue, or oven to medium-high heat. Brush the kebabs lightly with oil and place them on the grill. Cook for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and has a charred exterior.
-
Serve
Remove the kebabs from the skewers and serve hot with naan, parathas, or rice. Accompany with mint chutney, yogurt sauce, or sliced onions and lemon wedges for extra flavor.
Serving
Delight in the smoky, spiced taste of Seekh Kebabs, a dish that brings the essence of traditional South Asian grilling to your table. Ideal for gatherings, festive meals, or a flavorful weeknight treat.
