Tuluk (Traditional Vanuatu Dish)

- 2 cups grated taro or yam
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 cups island greens (spinach, fern leaves, or similar)

In a large bowl, combine the grated taro or yam with coconut milk. Mix in the chopped island greens and season with salt.

Cut banana leaves into large squares. Place a portion of the mixture onto each leaf and fold the edges to create a sealed parcel.

Cook in an Earth Oven
Traditionally, Tuluk is cooked in a hot earth oven. Alternatively, you can steam or bake the parcels at 350°F (175°C) for 45–60 minutes, until the taro or yam is tender and fully cooked.
