Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) lamb or beef, cut into cubes
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 2 carrots, cut into sticks
- 2 potatoes, cut into chunks
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small cabbage, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water or broth
- Fresh herbs (dill, parsley, or cilantro) for garnish

Prepare the Meat
Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the meat cubes and brown them on all sides. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and cumin.

Add onions to the pot and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened. Layer carrots, potatoes, bell pepper, cabbage, and tomatoes on top of the meat. Sprinkle minced garlic over the vegetables.

Pour water or broth into the pot, covering about half of the layered ingredients. Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the meat is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
