Instructions

  1. Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press the mint leaves to release their oils, mixing them with the sugar. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much; just a gentle press will do.

  2. Add Lime Juice

Pour in the fresh lime juice, mixing it with the muddled mint and sugar until the sugar begins to dissolve.

  3. Add Rum

Add the white rum to the mixture, stirring gently to combine all the flavors.

  4. Fill with Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes, either crushed or whole, depending on your preference.

  5. Top with Soda Water

Pour soda water over the ice to fill the glass, adjusting the amount to your taste. Stir gently to combine.

  6. Garnish

Garnish your Mojito with a lime wedge and a sprig of fresh mint for a refreshing touch.
