1 lb (0.45 kg) Boneless Chicken, cut into cubes

1 cup Wheat

1/2 cup Barley

1/4 cup Lentils

1/4 cup Rice

1/4 cup Oats

1 large Onion, finely sliced

2 tbsp Ghee

1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

2 tsp Red Chili Powder

1 tbsp Garam Masala

Salt to taste

Fresh Coriander and Ginger for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving


Wash and soak wheat, barley, lentils, rice, and oats for a few hours. In a large pot, combine soaked grains, chicken, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Add enough water and cook until the grains and meat are tender, stirring occasionally. In a separate pan, sauté sliced onions in ghee until golden brown. Mash the cooked mixture for a creamy texture. Mix in sautéed onions and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander and ginger.
