For the Syrup & Garnish:

½ cup (0.12 liters) date syrup or honey

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Dough In a large bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, yeast, sugar, salt, cardamom, and saffron-infused water. Add yogurt and gradually mix in warm water, stirring until you get a smooth, thick batter. Cover and let the batter rest for 1 hour in a warm place until it doubles in size.

Step 2: Fry the Dumplings Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Using a spoon or your hands, scoop small portions of the batter and drop them carefully into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, turning them frequently to ensure even cooking. Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.
