Ingredients

1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
1/4 tsp (1 g) salt

Instructions
Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated cheese, cornstarch, yuca flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well incorporated.
Add the Wet Ingredients: Beat the eggs and add them to the dry mixture, followed by the milk. Mix well until a smooth dough forms. The dough should be firm but pliable. If it’s too sticky, add a little more cornstarch.
Shape the Buñuelos: Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball. Make sure the balls are smooth and free of cracks to ensure even frying.
Heat the Oil: In a deep pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat to 350°F (175°C). The oil should be hot but not smoking. To test, drop a small piece of dough into the oil; it should rise slowly to the surface.
Fry the Buñuelos: Carefully drop the dough balls into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, turning them occasionally until they are golden brown and puffed up.
