Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) beef or lamb, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh okra, trimmed
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 large tomatoes, chopped, or 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley for garnish

Prepare the Meat
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Stir in the garlic, then add the meat cubes. Brown the meat on all sides, seasoning with salt, pepper, coriander, cumin, and cinnamon.
