1 packet (7 g) active dry yeast
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup (240 ml) warm water
Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Slowly add warm water, mixing until you form a smooth, sticky dough.
Let the Dough Rise: Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Heat the Oil: In a deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (180°C).
Form the Mikate: Once the dough has risen, use a spoon to scoop out small portions. Drop each portion carefully into the hot oil.
Fry the Doughnuts: Fry the mikate until they turn golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove them from the oil and place on paper towels to drain.
Serve:
Serve warm, sprinkled with powdered sugar or drizzled with honey.
