Krendel
Krendel is a traditional Eastern European sweet bread, often shaped into a twisted or ring-like form. - ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey

- 1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, mix the warm milk with yeast and a teaspoon of sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy. In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and melted butter to the flour. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours or until doubled in size.

In a bowl, mix chopped nuts, dried fruits, sugar, cinnamon, and honey. Set aside.

Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch (0.5 cm) thick. Spread the filling evenly over the dough. Roll the dough into a log and twist it into a spiral or horseshoe shape. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
