1 lb chicken, cut into pieces

1 lb potatoes, peeled and cubed

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon curry powder

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 cinnamon stick

2 bay leaves

1 cup coconut milk

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for cooking


Heat some oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened. Add the chicken pieces to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.
